well its been quite a struggle to get this website crack-a-lacking but now we got this bad boy fully operational. Thanks to the kindess and hard work of a mr. mike gibson we will be able to update this thing daily if we need to, so everyone can stay informed on us. A few quick things. We were pleased with our recent article in the Daily Iowan. I didnt come off like such an asshole as I expected. The show sunday oct 16h at the Mill should be sweet. I hope everyone comes out like they said they would. At 4:30 the day of the mill show I will join Why? live on KRUI for an interview of sorts. Speaking of KRUI, our first week on we broke the top ten most played bands by landing at the number 9 slot. I have hopes we can do better than that despite the influx of amazing new releases like deerhoof, danger doom ect. next week should be tough with new releases from boards of canada, lightning bolt ect. anyway thanks for the continued support.
October 15th, 2005 by DanWe are days away from going to Atlanta to record our yet be titled debut full length under the production skills of Matt Mallpass. We have been practicing and I feel confident we are ready to make a great record. As for the songs go, we are gunning for about 10 to 12, weaving through indie-pop jams, sad mellow acoustic tunes, and harder indie rockers. As soon as the record is finished we will continue to play more shows, especially outside of our native Iowa City.
Also, I’d like to mention the newest edition to Death Ships. A 4-wheeled beast named the Maloney Pony. Wish it well tonight before you go to sleep.
